[Thank you everyone for your responses, the panel has been finalized. See you in Atlanta.]
PANEL TOPIC: Plastics Traceability, Sustainability & Blockchain; exploring and discussing lifecycle efficiencies for a materials v2 lifecycle
We are delighted to be hosting a panel discussion in a conference track at the upcoming Greener Manufacturing Show in Atlanta in June 2022 and are looking for experts in their field to participate in the below discussion.
Whether already in Atlanta, or headed to the show, we would be delighted for you to join us in this action packed and thoughtful look at what we can do to implement solutions to contribute to traceability whether they are small manageable initiatives or full blown blockchain solutions.
See the abstract below and if interested, fill out the contact form and we’ll get back to you asap.
We are looking for about 4-5 qualified panel participants so please provide any relevant info around your passion and expertise in this area and we will select panelists no later than Wednesday May 4th, 2022. Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you!
Panel Topic: Plastics Traceability, Sustainability & Blockchain; exploring and discussing lifecycle efficiencies for a materials V2 lifecycle
Blockchain and traceability are hot keywords making recent headlines into the circular plastics economy discussion for good reason. We are recycle-challenged with little movement in RIC resin identification codes, accessible but precise identification solutions regarding how many times an item may have been recycled, and their candidacy and applicability for new life given polymer chain break down. While many are motivated to join the movement, challenges exist in tracing how to identify up and down cycle opportunities for materials that are ‘new life’ candidates before ending up in our landfills and water systems. This panel open discussion will explore how the plastics industry may improve next gen traceability, options and ideas to quantify new life identification, blockchain and chain of custody implementation strategies that are easily accessible, viable, both and cost effective and actionable in the short term to accelerate reuse goals.
Contact us with your name, title and company information by Wednesday May 4th. Please include a few words about your passion and expertise regarding the topic at hand, your LinkedIn profile and we’ll be delighted to get back in touch within 24 hours regarding participation. We hope to see you there!
