Sadly, not once in the last 30+ years did we see these amazing wonders without some form of a carelessly discarded plastic item. Considering it takes decades to hundreds of years for plastic to break down generating ‘microplastics’ that are causing problems for marine life and other living organisms in the food chain, we know we are not alone.
