Whether state mandated carbon emission cap programs, internal corporate goals or consumer driven demand for more sustainable solutions, we’ve highlighted the basics of what ecoPLAS® and REearthable® are about; the benefits, and our responsibility in providing accuracy in our claims.
3rd Party Biodegradable : Landfill, Compost & Marine
ecoPLAS® is 3rd party validated for all three; using actual landfill matter, actual compost and marine water environments, ecoPLAS® biodegrades in landfills in 10 months, 6 months compostable and marine.
CO2 Captured limestone-based ecoPLAS® will never re-release captured Carbon Dioxide
Scientifically proven, limestone is a natural carbon sink and 44% CO2 by weight. Carbon dioxide will never be re-released unless processed at excessively high temperatures. It is also is a byproduct of quarry mining, repurposing waste material and thereby preventing the depletion of resources intended for other uses. No end-of-life fate will release the carbon captured in ecoPLAS® as the conditions (landfill, compost, marine) do not meet required temperature conditions to do so.
Multiple Manufacturing Processing Compatible, Existing Equipment
Proven for Injection Molding, 3D/Additive Manufacturing and Thermoform Applications, ecoPLAS® does not require new or specialized equipment or processing; it’s business as usual with significant savings.
Energy & Material Waste Savings
It takes energy to create products and shrink rate is an ancillary (but significant) key metric when it takes more material to produce the same product. ecoPLAS® has a lower shrink rate than most polypropylene and HDPE materials which means you use less material for every product produced. At volumes, this significantly decreases energy use and material waste with similar strength and durability attributes to manufacture the same product.
